You Absolutely Must Visit Dubai

Over the last twenty years or so the Middle Eastern city of Dubai has become one of the hottest vacation and business locations in the world. It is a rapidly developing, fabulously wealthy futuristic city set within a centuries-old Arab culture. The traditional ways are still there if you look for them. But they are gradually being overtaken by the new attractions and developments springing up virtually every day.

In Dubai one can see dusty traditional villages as well as fantastically luxurious residential districts, or visit rugged mountains and majestic sand dunes only a few miles from pristine sandy beaches and lush green parks. Tourists can wander through Dubai’s traditional market places or visit some of the largest and most modern indoor shopping malls in the world.

Luxury Hotels in Dubai

Ordinarily, Dubai would be known as a place where work is all that may be heard. The information regarding hotels and resorts would not be among the top list of places to go, considering that most people around the world go to Dubai for the purpose of getting higher earnings. However, as in every country, Dubai also has its share of good travel spots to which most people can unwind and settle down for the time being, most of which are not given much emphasis due to the moniker that this country has had as far as the working laborer is concerned.

Dubai has its own share of hotels and resorts, and this include the Coral Deira Hotel, Gulf Pearl Hotel Dubai and Majestic Hotel Tower. Most of these places have taken the backseat, but are good places to stay in for people who visit this part of the world. Outside the usual accommodation and special packages towards incoming guests both locally and around the world, Dubai also has its share of places to go for the tourists. Known to be a large country, Dubai caters to the local and visiting people in the same way that most countries are today. The overshadowing tag towards this country has become moreover the reason for these accommodation and tourist sites. Catering to the same level of hotel and resort classification, people can still enjoy the local beaches and recreational facilities as well.

The World Completed

Nakheel, one of the world’s largest property developers, today laid the final stone on the breakwater for The World. The last rock was one of 34 million tonnes of rock that were used to construct the 27 km breakwater which surrounds the 300 man-made islands that make up The World. The World team was on hand as the last rock was placed at 8:00am January 10, 2008 by Director Hamza Mustafa.

This historic moment marked the completion of the first phase of one of Dubai‘s most talked about landmarks, which included land reclamation requiring 320 million cubic meters of sand dredged from the sea and the creation of the breakwater that surrounds the 9km wide and 7kms long island destination. The next phase involves handing over islands to developers for construction and building of infrastructure.
